Kris Kuksi's new art book is finally out and available. Kris will have a small show at Roq La Rue this April alongside Travis Louie, and will be doing a book signing as well- stay tuned for more details!

Travis Louie News

The New Yorker has a great article about director Guillermo Del Toro, who also happens to be a collector of darker Pop Surrealist imagery. In this photo there are two large Travis Louie paintings on the wall that he picked up at Roq la Rue! Del Toro also graciously provided a quote for Travis' gorgeous book "Curiosities". Travis has a new show coming up this April at Roq La Rue alongside Kris Kuksi!

Newest member of the Rue Crew

Brian Despain just emailed me with a big excuse as to why he couldn't finish a small painting he had decided to do last minute since he had a little extra time after finishing up his show...

I guess he's off the hook.
A huge welcome to Stephanie Anne Despain! We love you already!

Up Next! Mandy Greer "Honey and Lightning"

We are very excited to be mixing things up at the gallery for our first show of 2011. We will be opening a new show with artist Mandy Greer, known for her outrageously intricate and fantastical fabric based installations. Mandy will be turning the gallery into an opulent wonderland, glittering with dark, dreamlike imagery. In addition to several large installation pieces she will be showcasing smaller works including a series of headdresses and a new photography series featuring her work. Join us on January 14th for the opening!
